  • I started my journey in an MFA program, but I felt like my courses were missing something. Even though we studied great literary authors, I wanted to learn to write and edit commercial fiction. This sent me down my path to become a Developmental Editor.

Through that process, I found myself a mentor and began intensively studying writing craft.

I have taken the following courses through the Editorial Freelance Association:

    1. Developmental Editing of Fiction: Beginning

    2. Developmental Editing of Fiction: Intermediate

    3. Developmental Editing of Fiction: Advanced

    4. Editorial Letters for Every Editor

    5. Tracking Editorial Projects from Start to Finish

    6. Digital Marketing Primer

    7. The Art of Feedback

I am a member of the Editorial Freelance Association and the Maine Writers and Publishers Alliance.
