Revising a manuscript can feel overwhelming—especially when you know your story needs work but aren’t sure where to begin. The Complete Manuscript Edit is a comprehensive developmental edit that combines a detailed manuscript evaluation with in-depth developmental editing offered together at a bundled rate.

The manuscript evaluation will tackle any big picture feedback that require revisions first. That way, we’re not doing in-depth edits on scenes that might need to be cut or restructured. After you make your edits, we will complete a complete developmental edit to ensure that your story is ready for publication.

Step 1: First Read

First, I’ll review your manuscript to get a sense of the highlights and opportunities for improvement.

Step 2: Manuscript Evaluation

Next, I complete a big picture review of your story with recommendations on the high-level storytelling elements. This may include things like plot, character development, overall structure, and narrative distance.

  • 3-5 page Editorial Report focusing on the most impactful suggestions

  • One 60-minute call to discuss your manuscript

  • 30 Days of unlimited support via email

Step 3: Author Revision Period

After receiving the manuscript evaluation, you will revise the manuscript independently based on the feedback provided.

Step 4: Developmental Edit

Once revisions are complete, you will resubmit the revised manuscript for a developmental edit. Then, I will complete a comprehensive developmental edit of your manuscript by analyzing each scene, providing detailed guidance for final revision, and preparing the story for publication.
