Revising a manuscript can feel overwhelming—especially when you know your story needs work but aren’t sure where to begin. The Complete Manuscript Edit is a comprehensive developmental edit that combines a detailed manuscript evaluation with in-depth developmental editing offered together at a bundled rate.

The manuscript evaluation will tackle any big picture feedback that require revisions first. That way, we’re not doing in-depth edits on scenes that might need to be cut or restructured. After you make your edits, we will complete a complete developmental edit to ensure that your story is ready for publication.

The Complete Manuscript Package

Step 1: First Read

First, I’ll review your manuscript to get a sense of the highlights and opportunities for improvement.

Step 2: Manuscript Evaluation

Once revisions are complete, you will resubmit the revised manuscript for a manuscript evaluation. I review the new draft holistically to assess how effectively the developmental feedback was implemented and to identify any remaining high-level issues.

Step 3: Author Revision Period

After receiving the developmental edit, you will revise the manuscript independently based on the feedback provided.

Step 4: Developmental Edit

I complete a comprehensive developmental edit of your manuscript, identifying structural, character, pacing, and thematic issues and providing detailed guidance for revision.
