How Revision Coaching Works
Full Manuscript Read & Revision Plan
Before your first term, I read your full draft and write a revision plan including: what's working, what isn't, and where to start. Every week of coaching is built from this plan.
Your term begins
Each term is 12 weeks of coaching across 14 calendar weeks, including 2 editor weeks with no submissions or calls. At kickoff, we set your week plan, a mix of worksheet weeks and scene weeks.
Weekly Developmental Feedback on Your Pages
On scene weeks, you submit up to 3,000 words of your revised manuscript. Feedback is returned to you 4 business days later.
Coaching Calls With Your Developmental Editor
We meet on a regular schedule to work through the bigger craft questions your pages raise.
Renew or wrap up
At the end of each term, you choose whether to continue. Many novels take a few terms to revise fully, and each renewal picks up where the last one left off.
